Reverb Engine is an audio player that displays a huge grid of buttons all corresponding to certain audio files that are loaded. Similar to a launchpad, although the intended use it to be an interactive soundboard.
Because Reverb Engine is completely open source, its source code and binaries can all be found on its respective GitHub repository. Alternatively, you may click to directly download the executable.
Download the latest version of Reverb Engine executable.
Setup VoiceMeeter, a restart may be required.
Launch Reverb Engine
Drag any audio or even video files onto the Reverb Engine
Right-click to change colors of each button to better remember what file it is.
In the Mini HUD click the settings icon.
Choose the output device as VoiceMeeter input
In VoiceMeeter, under your virtual inputs, enable B1 for both.
Left-click any button in Reverb Engine and have you and your friends hear your soundboard.
Optional. From the settings icon in the Mini HUD, save your configuration to your desktop or anywhere accessible. This saves you from repeating steps 4-8 every time.
At the top you have the Mini HUD this 'heads up display' shows all the activity of the player. Here you can view the current file name, timestamps, and scrub through the file itself. To the right and left you have the pause and stop buttons respectively. Underneath this you have the actual grid of buttons. Each button represents an added audio file. The layout is similar to a Stream Deck where you have a grid of buttons each with their unique actions.
The only customization that is available is changing the color of each button. To change the color, you can right click to cycle through all the possible colors. Removing a button is just as easy, you simply middle click any of the buttons you want delete.
We do, however, have plans of creating a Microart SoundDriver that will fully integrate Reverb Engine and many applications.
You can save a configuration of audio files and their colors to a .relib file from the settings icon in the Mini HUD. These files can be dragged and dropped later to add all the files with their respective colors again.
Download for free.
Reverb Engine unfortunately does not come with any audio routing functionality, for this to work you need a third-party application like the free software.
