Chi

Chi is an FFmpeg based GUI video and audio trimming tool. Chi simply cuts the beginning or end of a video stream without completely re-encoding the entire video file, all under a couple seconds.

Currently Microart Chi is not available for download due to the number of bugs that have been discovered. Along with this, we are planning to create a new all-in-one video editing tool called Krypton, which should hopefully be a one-to-one replacement of Chi with many more features.

Importing Videos / Audio

Simply press the open button on the middle-right of the GUI to open the window file picker. From here you can choose any video or audio file for Chi to import. Once imported, you can scrub through the file and mark the TrimStart and TrimEnd variables.

Trimming

In the Time Settings panel, you can find the variables TrimStart and TrimEnd. These variables determine the start and endpoints of the final video.

Exporting

Finally, exporting the video is as easy pressing the Trim and Save button and selecting a final output file from the dialog box.
